SC / ST Cell

In accordance with the statutory and functional requirements prescribed by regulatory authorities, Vaisiri Institute of Management and Technology has constituted the SC/ST Welfare Committee for the Academic Year 2025–26 to ensure the welfare, protection, and inclusive development of students and staff belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) categories. The Committee is committed to promoting equality, preventing discrimination, and fostering an inclusive academic environment within Vaisiri Institute of Management and Technology. It is entrusted with the responsibility of collecting and maintaining relevant data of SC/ST students and staff, providing need-based mentoring, counselling, and academic support, and creating awareness about various government scholarships, support systems, and beneficiary schemes available to them. The Committee also oversees the documentation of scholarship allocation and disbursement and conducts meetings once every semester to review the initiatives undertaken, plan welfare activities, and maintain records of Minutes of Meetings (MoM) and awareness programmes organized for the benefit of the SC/ST community.

Anti Ragging Committee

In accordance with the statutory and functional requirements prescribed by regulatory authorities, Vaisiri Institute of Management and Technology has constituted the Anti-Ragging Committee for the Academic Year 2025–26 to ensure a safe, secure, and ragging-free campus environment. The Committee is responsible for preventing the menace of ragging and maintaining the institution as a Zero Ragging Zone by ensuring that anti-ragging guidelines and instructions are displayed at prominent locations across the campus and hostels. It conducts surprise visits to vulnerable areas within the campus to monitor and prevent any potential incidents of ragging and undertakes on-the-spot enquiries into any reported cases. The Committee takes immediate preventive and disciplinary action in case of any such incidents and reports the same to the Principal without delay. It also organizes periodic awareness programmes on anti-ragging measures and the consequences of engaging in such activities. The Committee meets twice in a semester and as and when required to review the measures taken and submits its reports to the Principal.

Internal Complaints Committee

In accordance with the statutory and functional requirements prescribed by regulatory authorities, Vaisiri Institute of Management and Technology has constituted the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) for the Academic Year 2025–26 to address issues relating to discrimination and sexual harassment at the workplace.

The Committee familiarizes itself with guidelines and circulars issued by governing bodies concerning workplace safety and prevention of harassment. It undertakes awareness initiatives through notices, official communications, workshops, seminars, and orientation programmes aimed at sensitizing and empowering members of the institution.

The ICC provides a safe, confidential, and accessible platform for staff and students to report grievances and complaints. It ensures that appropriate mechanisms are in place for fair enquiry and timely redressal. The Committee meets at least twice a year, or as required, and submits its reports to the Principal.

Students Grievance Redressal Committee

As per the statutory and functional requirements, Vaisiri Institute of Management and Technology has constituted the Grievance Redressal Committee for the Academic Year 2025–26 to effectively address and resolve concerns raised by students. The Committee is entrusted with the responsibility of creating awareness about the grievance redressal mechanism within the institution, conducting enquiries whenever necessary, and reviewing relevant issues to ensure timely and fair resolution. It processes individual complaints in accordance with institutional norms and takes suitable action as required. The Committee also documents any reported incidents along with the actions taken and submits the report to the Principal. The Committee convenes at least once in every semester to review grievances received and to ensure appropriate corrective measures are implemented for maintaining a positive and supportive institutional environment.
